In my past life I was a fashion designer

I had a dream about a week ago about this skirt design so the next day I grabbed my sewing machine, fabric and lace and just started sewing.  I made this skirt for my adorable niece Taylin. Since, I didn't have a pattern or a little child to measure, i really hope it fits her.  I think it turned out pretty dang cute considering that I can barely sew a straight line let alone a whole skirt.

The front

close-up of front/detail of front
close-up of lace...cute, don't you think?
The back ( figured out how to do the elastic back all by myself, I am pretty dang proud!!!)
Who knows if it will fit her but I really hope it does.

The dream i had, I remember seeing Taylin getting some cool black and white pictures taken by my mom and sister and she was in this skirt, sitting on a rock blowing a dandy lion (detailed I know) and all I remember is looking at this skirt and thinking to myself, I am so glad I made that skirt for her, this pictures are going to turn out so cute.  When i woke up, the image of this skirt was so vivid that I said to myself, I better make this dream come true...and viola!

Lesson learned:
some dreams come true because of luck,
some dreams come true because of magic,
but most all dreams come true by hard work!!!
