Ryan + Calculus Math Test =

A) Heartburn
B) Indigestion
C) Insomnia
D) All of the above

Ryan has been in school for a couple weeks now and believe it or not has done quite well.

Last week he had is first big test in calculus and he felt pretty confident before going into the testing center. He had done all his homework, had breezed through the practice exams and he is usually one of the first to complete and turn in assignments in the classroom.

On the way to the testing center he said he would be back shortly!
Which usually means 30 minutes, give or take a few.

2 1/2 hours later...

Ryan came home and had this look of "I don't know what just happened" on his face. He said when he started taking the test, the first question totally destroyed his confidences and threw him off for the rest of the questions. He claimed, "I have NO IDEA how I did on this test!" Threw his hands in the air and laid down on the couch with his eyes shut. I told him he probably did just fine and not to worry about it.

On a side note: I don't know what he was more shocked about; the fact that he didn't know how to answer the very first question (which destroyed his confidence) or the fact that he was almost the last one done with the test (which destroyed his ego)?!?

Well, last Tuesday he went back to class to find out what his score was.....

Yep, He got a 92 %.

I am so proud of you, Ryan! Good Job!

I must say, it's been interesting watching him while he studies and does homework. It has been over 6 years since he got his bachelor degree from the U and I think we both didn't know how this was going to work. He is very dedicated to making sure he understands what is been studied and has picked up everything really quick. I am so happy he is putting this extra effort in now and hope that it's the right decision for us later!

I had a feeling he did just fine on his test but to be honest, it was fun watching him sweat it out while he waited to get his score. How silly!!!
