I like to call this one..."Attention to Detail!"

Ryan and I planned a FANTASTIC weekend get-a-way last weekend.

It was a 2-part weekend, Part 1: Started out with me up at Girls Camp in Cedar Breaks for our ward and Ryan literally "pitching his tent" on the other side of the mountain near Navajo Lake.

Part 1 was executed perfectly
Let me now explain Part B and why I call it, "Attention to detail..."

Right before Ryan went gallivanting to the other side of the mountain we talked briefly about Part B.
He suggested that he pick me up at 10....I counter and over-ruled his suggestion and said, "Pick me up at 9!"

Scenario: Saturday Morning-

7:00 am Girls Camp is wide-awake and starting to pack up

8:00 am Girls Camp is now taking down tents and picking up trash

8:30 am Girls Camp is packed

9:00 am Girls are eating Breakfast

No Ryan

9:15 am Girls clean the last part of camp before they are checked off to leave

No Ryan

9:30 am Girls are in the car and ready to go home and take a shower

No Ryan

9: 35 am I bid farewell to my ward and watch as a 11 other wards on the mountain leave

No Ryan

9: 40 am I enter the stake camp (they are the last ones off the mountain) and figure if he doesn't show up I will catch a ride with one of them off the mountain.

No Ryan

10:00 am I sit on a bench and wait patiently

No Ryan

10: 15 am There are two cars left on the mountain, I pack my stuff in one of the cars and start heading down the mountain

No Ryan

10:30 am As we are half way down the mountain and I finally see Ryan's truck heading up the mountain!

Was he lost? Was he stuck in the mud? Was he attacked by a bear? Was he hurt? Was he still fishing? Was he attacked by Mexican drug lords? Was he pitching his tent in someone else's camp-ground? I could go on but I will spare you!

Nope! None of the above...He simply lost track of time...
This is why I call this post, "Attention to Detail!"
What part of NINE O'CLOCK did he not understand?!? I mean, really!!! :-)

To be honest, I was mad for a minute but I didn't want it to ruin the rest of our weekend and we ended up laughing about it later! This was, afterall, the first time we have gone camping together with just the two of us, so it was kindof exciting.
So here are some pictures of our Part B:
This is Navajo Lake from our camp site
We drove around to another camp site and took a picture of someone camp fire smoke coming up through the woods.
Another picture of the beautiful valley

We saw some pretty cool cabins and here is a sign post of some cabins that I thought was pretty cool.

Picture of Cedar Breaks at sunset, beautiful!!!

It was really great to get away for the weekend and spend some time together!

How funny, NOT, and very much a guy thing! Laughing at the amount of mud on his truck! Glad you had a fun weekend of togetherness.

You mean Ryan doesn't know what time it is by the position of the sun in the sky? I can think of another recent story that involves attention to detail but I can't stay mad either ;) Love ya girl!
